Is anyone from headquarters monitoring today? I am trying to email service but it keeps saying there are server errors!

Bought a mixed case of wine today which severely hurt next months budget (I have a problem!), but if I hadn't, I'd be in.

In for one, I know it is an older version but the last Gazzi PN offerings have been so good I cannot pass this one up. Looking at it as a 4 bottle purchase (based on size) this is a great value, cannot wait to taste it!

Agreed Chipgreen. I have the opposite problem and don't mind the larger size, nothing ready to drink here. This deal is basically 4 750ml bottles for $11.50 a bottle. Even if you go wrong you can't go wrong at that price.

In for 1.

I could hardly load woot at all last night, server errors for hours. Don't have a clue why, all my other site were loading normally.

I just dropped a $20 JumboWoot coupon on this.

A little scary without any reviews, but I'm hopeful.

You snooze, you loose. Well I have snost and lost.

I picked up the Gazzi 2004 Syrah offered a few weeks ago. Color me confused, because Scott Harvey stated he believed he consulted for them from 2005 on, but the insert that was in my shipment lists him as winemaker for the 2004 Syrah. ??? Regardless, it is very tasty and drinking well IMHO.

trifecta wrote:I would agree with this fully. Just had a '99 Hawley Pinot with Paul the other day and it was fantastic. Surprisingly muted nose, but still very bright fruit and no signs of cloudiness. This offer is five years younger and with the PH Scott provided there is no reason to think this is over the hill.

and that 2000 Grand cru Burgundy was still sooo young! Good, but really I didn't realise how too young it might be til we opened it! Once left some 1994 Nuits St Georges (Villages) too long, and it was all vinegar though. I think it was because it was kept under the stairs at my parents' and not controlled enough in temperature.

can you give more notes? I passed because I didn't like what the Syrah did to the 07 Pinot Noir, but I'd like to hear what kind of a Syrah they made, in case it does crop up again!

This one was left over from December. I had a couple of deals go really popular and got 3(!) $20 coupons good through the end of March.

klezman wrote:Scott, I hope you're around to answer questions! How does this compare to the 2006, aside from the extra bit of age?

Sorry I didn't get on before this sold out. This wine is a little lighter than the previous Gazzi Pinots. It is truer to the varietal. More Pinot like, where the others are riper in style.

That is the write I did when Wine Drew and I polished off a bottle.

Ditto on both - tastes ok, certainly not as good as the Syrah, and same for the cork. Again, literature that came with the wine states Scott Harvey as winemaker.
