I am ok with that. Lindayw posted literally 1 minute before my post, and I had sent a pm.

If lindayw and hungry want to split between 3 I would do that.

If not I am cool with splitting with you. I really only wanted 2 bottles of each.

The price looks great, but like sale price wines locally going in on a case without having tried it is asking a lot. Yes even at $8 a bottle.
Some $8 wines just aren't worth their cork (or screw top), it seems like this wine is a fine every day drinker, but not necessarily a wow what a deal.

Sorry to sign in so late, I am a winery representative so for those of you who are curious as to why such a deal, here is the general reason. The 2006 Cab & Merlot were only released to international distribution due to the small quantities. We skipped from 2005's to 2007's for all national distribution. Both of these wines are holding up very well, i drink them frequently. happy to answer any questions!

Slept on the deal, and it still looked good in the morning, so just hit the button. No matter how great a bargain, Woot removed the temptation to buy more than one case (not that I have the room or finances) by telling me "You want ONE" and that's all you can have!

This "only buy one" is not fun. Can I go back in and order another as a gift to my daughter at different address?

Bought one case about 4hr ago, wish I had bought three, darn, I remember the 3 pack in 2011, really good stuff.

Took 16 wine shipping boxes to the local wine store yesterday hate to throw these in the recycle bin, got a nice bottle of cab in exchange.

The birthday code doesn't really exist anymore. I waited for mine as well and never got one. I did email customer service and they were nice enough to give me one but told me not to expect it again. It wasn't supposed to be an ongoing event according to the email.

and the rats gave the cab decent reviews. See the July thread.

The '06 vintages were never released in the US, as willwhiteoak tells us above. hence the lack of data in cellar tracker, wine searcher, etc.

The winemaker tells us he estimated the cab as a five year wine, but in July he said it would probably hang in there for ten.

The offer here is $8.75/bottle which is pretty decent - what the Columbia Crest Grand Estates Cab or Merlot goes for in my local store.

Anyone from IL want to share? I only want 1 bottle of each

Since the Cab still has quite a bit of tannin, I would pair with grilled meats(my fav ribeye), pepper crusted ahi or cream sauces as all of these items will neutralize tannins a bit & complement flavors. The Merlot has more acidity, but still a cab drinkers Merlot so the reccomendations above would also work, but strictly for Merlot some of my fav's are Chx Parm, any pasta w/ red sauce(can add root veg) and always a classic red sauce based Pizzas.

Really disappointed that Kansas isn't on the list of shipping states.
