KtCallista wrote:Darn, thanks anyway. I've finally gotten to the point where I can sleep in a traditional bed easily, I'm sure in another decade or so I will be less picky about pillows (grew up with a waterbed). I also can't stand if my pillowcase is wrinkled, period. Yet, if I'm camping I can sleep on rocks and use my flannel stuffed into my sleeping bag bag as a pillow.... makes no sense.

Feather pillows are like one big squishy mess. How do you keep the case wrinkle-free?

I rather enjoy seeing what Frankenstein-like scars my pillow has blessed me with each morning. The neat thing is, as you get older, your skin is less elastic and it takes longer for those dents to go away! Fun times!

I'm special... It helps to make sure you pull out all four corners so the fabric is smooth before you lay your head down.

Only feather pillows here. The last ones I bought at Penney's and they had something in the center. Best pillows we've ever had. They were $50 each. I keep putting off getting new ones. Yeah, I grew up on hand-stuffed feathers, too.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

W the H, were you guys going out and killing birds?
Was that what happened to all the chicken feathers in the store that would kill the chicken in front of you?
(yes, you picked a live bird in a cage and they killed it. For some reason parents thought nothing of bringing a kid to see that) ( other odd thing about that store...there was always a pet chicken who got to walk around the store.)

Feather pillows feel like rocks to me when they squish down.

No, no, they squish to right where you want them. And when you lift your head, they don't pop back up.

Yes, yes they do, especially when the feathers are new. Eventually the feathers break down and loose their fluff though.

Same way that waterbeds mold to your every need and cradle you in warm happiness.

I agree about the waterbed. I have had a temperpedic memory foam for 10 years and haven't slept as deeply since I got rid of the waterbed.

Morning.

I use three pillows. A feather one under my head, a regular one under my arm, and a thin one between my knees....but I sleep on my side. Shoulder pulls out otherwise, or my hip hurts.

I grew up on a water bed, too. Don't like them now, too mushy.

LOL our elderly lab likes to sleep on the porch. We left the sliding glass door open for her and it was 62 when I got up this morning. Inside.

Actually one of the kids they played with all the time as kids just had a baby this week.

She was older, the older sister of son's best friend. Maybe 2 years older than daughter.

First baby born from one of my kids friends.

I feel OLD.

Who wants this sunshine? Come take it PLEASE!

I can't vent about it anywhere else, all the local people love it, but the sun exposure in just the last two days has made me so miserable - sick to my stomach and today raging headache.

No sun here today. Peeked through the clouds for a bit this morning, but it's been overcast since about 10.
