I'm having the same problem!

It doesn't take $4 worth to make a salad dressing with this stuff unless you're making a very, very large salad. I usually combine about a teaspoon with some shallot vinegar and some walnut oil to make a dressing; tastes great on spinach and blue cheese.

The first time I saw this I thought you'd have to be nuts to spend 40 bucks on a little bottle of vinegar...

Next time it was up somebody mentioned trying it on ice cream, and I thought that was just weird enough to give it a shot...

Have been waiting ever since to get more!

Normally I am a "glass half full" kind of person, but our bottle was getting half empty and I was seriously concerned...

In bowl:

1. Chunks of ripe pear, fresh
2. Good quality vanilla Greek yogurt, one blop
3. Few drops of this balsamic
4. Crushed roasted almonds sprinkled on top

Sniff. Eat. Savor. Heaven.

I am an admitted ignoramus when it comes to this type of expensive vinegar. I do however love the balsamic ones I have tried. I have had the stuff like they sell at costco for like 10 or 15 bucks, I have made my own reductions for various purposes. I currently have in the fridge a spray bottle of trader joes that I like to spray on spinach for salad purposes (apologies if I offend).
Question - what is the difference here? I am tempted to get myself one and one as a gift. I am just wondering if it can be THAT much better or if it is a different thing entirely?

It's impossible to buy enough of this stuff...really! We've purchased two bottles during each of the last three offerings...and we're down to the last half bottle.

Marinades, salads, drizzled on meats, breads, cheeses, veggies, desserts, toes...hell, just pour it in your mouth hole!

I just sent my husband a text at work. (it's Wine & Food festival this week and he works at one of the best restaurants in the country, so probably won't be home for another 2 hours.) Not that his answer really matters, it's more of a "I didn't lie about anything, I told you I was doing this," sort of thing.

I'm afraid to wait since it seems like this will sellout relatively soon!

My two other wine woot purchases: caramel chocolates and truffles. At some point, I should buy wine. In for two!!

Question: how does it compare to other balsamics, Like those from gourmet stores. (oro di oliva or oilerie)

I brought a bottle of this into a upscale dessert diner (yes I am that guy) and added it to a scoop of french vanilla ice cream. The waitress asked what it was. I told her and she seemed disgusted. I asked her to send the chef out. He came out and was skeptical but amazed after he tried it. It just goes to show that even the professionals can be shown something new

after reading so many requests for this from the woot community, my curiosity got the better of me. took a leap of faith...

Of course this stuff is good - everyone should have figured that out by now. I picked up three at the last offering - one for myself and two for gifts.

I've still got two-thirds of my own bottle left, though, so today's probably not the day to stock up. If, for some reason, this is the last time this shows up, I sincerely apologize to my future self.

nope, those caramels were amazing... i've been delighted many times when unsuspecting guest pop one into their mouth only to be stunned of the delicious-ness.

Fedex man brought 4 boxes holding 27 bottles of wine from Woot this morning, and now we ordered 2 bottles of Balsamic...

That's what I call a good day!

I already have most of a bottle of balsamic (not this brand though), but all the reviews have convinced me to get this to try out as well. It'll be nice to have something good on hand when I go on my yearly binge of caprese salads

How long does balsamic last? Shelf life if you will? And once opened, do I have to consume it within a certain amount of time? Lastly, does it have to be stored in certain conditions (temperature, etc.)? Thanks!

I asked earlier about thoughts comparing this to a vincotto, but I can vouch that a vincotto is an _entirely_ different thing than a balsamic vinegar. I'm hoping that's the case with this as well.

During the last offer someone emailed the maker and asked. The expiration date was in March of 2021

It will last a very long time. But, not sure about storage and conditions

So does this balsamic follows the delivery policy of woot? i mean do i have to sign to receive this, i am afraid to miss the delivery with my schedule..

The description says the bottle is 250ml, so if this was in a normal 750ml wine botte, it'd be $105, or more than a Corison Kronos Cab. Wow. It must be really good.

I can finally finish my 8th bottle now that I know #s 9 & 10 are on the way. 4 made it out as gifts, but I guzzled the rest. #1 favorite use: as a replacement for sherry vinegar in Alton Brown's sardines & avocado on toast recipe. #2: drizzled over cheese pizza. #3: drizzled on slabs of Saint Andre brie. #4: in a teaspoon. #5: as a shot in a hollowed out strawberry. #6: swirled into B&Js Pistachio Pistachio ice cream. #7: as a dip for Graber olives. #8: on a blue rare buttered steak. #9: tossed with stringed string cheese. #10: splashed on stromboli.

Whenever I have red wine vinegar at home, the taste always goes too strong before I am finished with it?

With all the reviews, I am tempted-- even though I've never made a purchase of this sort.

Does the taste change while sitting on the shelf? Should it be refrigerated?

So glad I checked this before bed because if it had sold out I would of been heartbroken. Sadly I only have the money for one.

The reviews convinced me. In for one. I'm not a foodie and the last bottle of balsamic I bought was around $2, so I guess I'll finally see what this balsamic thing is all about.

Will there be an option again for a few people to get in on the Tradizionale as well? That's happened before and I'd love to get in this time around.

DO NOT REFRIGERATE! no need, and that will change the taste more than anything. Also sitting on the shelf will help this, the acids will mellow out over time giving it a more complex flavor. This is NOT red wine vinegar, this is balsamic, so much better in every way.
