Man, he must've made a lot of this stuff!

[Edit: Note that we've opened one bottle so far, and it was excellent. I'm remarking more about its repeated Woot-off appearances...]

My Cellar, totally out of date. Useful, I know.

If you don't already have a few stashed away like I do, you should get this stuff! Each of the base wines is excellent, and Peter is a master blender.

Have 2 in the cellar and drank 2. Worth the woot price, but I wouldn't pay much more. Wine is not overly complex and needs an hour or two to really open up. When open, some red fruit, spiciness, and a little bit of earth. Not a fruit bomb... but then maybe my preferences are downplaying what might otherwise be a great wine...

best red blend I've had from woot. Keep nibbling on the stash, but it's just so good I can't keep my hands off of it

Cellar Tracker says the drinking window on this extends out to 2020. I've got four bottles from the last time it was offered and haven't opened one. I'm saving them for a VERY special occasion. Everything I read says that this is VERY GOOD wine. 90.2 points on CT.

Bought six bottles last time it came up. Have had two, one actually followed a bottle of Corison Napa Cab, which was an interesting contrast.

Granted this is still on the young side for Peter's wines, but both bottles were excellent. If I didn't have four stashed away or I had more room, I'd get some for sure.

I've been watching wine.woot carefully these past few weeks for the perfect wine for my 30th birthday celebration. Just bought one of these. Guess I'll find out in April if I made the right choice.

One of my favorite wines ever offered on woot. My only complaint with this wine is that it doesn't last in my wine fridge very long because I'm too busy drinking it.

I'm not sure what's up with that. We do have a Maryland direct ship license and we told w00t to put it on the list of states. If you contact w00t service they might be able to help you.

Was gifted a bottle of this for our wedding (kindest present from a fellow Wooter ever!) and I just have to say... YUM!

Amazing with grilled porterhouse, lobster tail, parmesan/marjoram roasted potatoes, and veggies on Valentine's Day. Love this stuff. Soooo smooth said the wife - and who am I to argue?

We opened a bottle of the 06 just this past weekend. There was some sediment right at the top of the bottle when I corked it (it had been laying down peacefully since purchase. I decanted it and let it open for a while, but it is hard to wait. This is a really nice wine, from nose through finish. I don't usually take notes, so i can't give you the expressive descriptions, but I can tell you that I kept saying to my wife, "I really, really like this wine". That ought to pass for good notes. Thanks, Peter!

I have three bottles already but am in for six more bottles. I've only had one bottle but enjoyed it tremendously. There was a little sediment so I'll place the next bottle upright for a day or so first. Right out of the bottle I loved the wine, and it evolved over the next few hours. Great flavors and very well balanced.

Thank you for the kind words. Descriptive terminology is most useful as a tool for wine professionals, as a way of comparing wines and relating them to a taste memory. Once I got into the wine industry it took me years to stop analysing wines I had with dinner and just enjoy them. Just as most of us enjoy food without trying to describe all the flavors, wine is, above all, to be enjoyed. One sign of a really good wine is when the bottle is empty sooner than it should be and you wonder where it went.

I'm liking the low Cab Sauv percentage. Too many American Bordeaux-style blends are a bit Cab-heavy for me...basically Cab Sauv with a splash of "other." This composition should give the other varieties a voice in the Victory.

May as well continue building the vertical. In for a pair.

After letting this breath for an hour or so, I found this wine to be silky smooth. It was a perfect wine to have on hand to celebrate the Giants' Super Bowl win. "Wellington" is the first name of the late Giants' owner and patriarch, Wellington Mara. And of course, "Victory" is self explanatory. Now I have several more for next year's run. I'm "All In."

In for 3, good juice and my supply is running low. I'm gladd this is still showing up, I was saving the last couple bottles as I was confident they had already been sold out.

If you are referring to the "crystals" on the bottom of the cork and that might have also been around the neck of the bottle, that is not sediment. It is the normal result of the way Peter makes wine (ie. unfiltered) and standing the bottle upright won't really do much. Best thing to do is to have a wine pourer dodad with the built in filter, or pour it through a Vinturi with a filter, or just let it sit in a decanter for a bit after pouring. Sometimes I'll even stick my (clean) pinky finger into the neck of the bottle to try to scrape out some of the tartrates that are stuck to the neck of the bottle before I start pouring.
