Haha, probably neither side is happy with that characterization. Weird.

Somehow, "fun" and Milwaukee in the winter seems ... well, oxymoronic?

As the bride's father or the nightclub owner?

Although I still laugh at Zorro, the narf Blade where he plays twins.

Yeah, well, I know. But, this is when we had our President's Week Break and we had to use up some Southwest Bonus Bucks from a previous trip and a friend of ours is working on his PhD there and was able to provide us with lodging. We arrived to dry pavement and no snow. At some point, we got about 5 - 6 inches of heavy snow. It was sooo pretty! They did a great job clearing away the snow.

We went to the Harley-Davidson Museum, which was pretty cool--and i'm not a biker chick! Also, we went to the Milwaukee Art Museum and got to see the Calatrava Wings open and close. Calatrava is a Spanish architect who has designed some really cool bridges and other things. We saw a collection of some rather modern artists. Interesting. Also interesting that many of them were institutionalized while they produced these works of art! Milwaukee has also done a fine job of renovations and reuse of the buildings along the shore and have made it into a really chic shopping area. The Lakefront Brewery tour was a lot of fun! They also make some nice brews! I wonder if those stainless steel tanks are the same ones that many of our winemakers use . . . ? We also went to a nice guitar concert. I think I've probably left out a few things. Maybe ddeuddeg will be able to fill them in.

We ate at a Thai restaurant and an Ethiopian restaurant. Really good food at both. Thursday night, after the Ethiopian restaurant, we headed to a wine bar just around the corner and had a flight of red wine and a platter of Wisconsin Cheese. There was an awesome Latino group playing at the wine bar.

What a fun time! Now, I need a vacation to recoup from the vacation!

I am a terrible person. This Unicef commercial with Alyssa Milano, who is smoking hot, makes me want to NEVER donate to UNICEF. Shes' really annoying, but hot.

Also, these commercials, tug no heart strings. The ASPCA one though, that makes me angry and want to open the checkbook.

Yes but how many of those posts are quality? ooh I just realized I hit 700! Lets see...
700/4813 = 14.54%
100/17762 = 0.56%
116/16653 = 0.69%

Ah, but you have to remove the 666 posts of yours that were automatic for posting links to CT, etc. in the First Post. And Cheron got some The Great Wakkorotti's for linking to the labrat thread (IIRC). Mine on the other hand, were all earned the hard way. Kissing you know what!

So 44/4813 = 0.91% not the whopping 14%!

Edit: Plus, no The Great Wakkorotti's for posting the Gathering Updates from CJ either!

Edit2: Crap! Forgot I have a couple from posting the CT links when you were blotto.

Was at zTimBz's last night, and Tim's friend's sister sent this to her. Although the guy in the middle looks creepy every so often.

Somebody That I Used to Know - Walk off the Earth (Gotye - Cover). Great song, and have never seen 5 people on one guitar.

Not sure if richardhod posted this here, or just on Facebook.

Edit: Think just on FB

Totally shocked everyone... first time to go to a convention and some of the youngest kids.... and he got 3rd place in a separate event!! This translates to his group getting scholarship money so they can go to nationals in June!!!! I am so proud....
