What is going on?!? I click on a thread and it takes me to woot.com. Took me a couple tries to get it working correctly. Weird.

Edit: I hit post and it took me to woot.com's Community page. There is some shenanigans going on.

It was back again to green, and when I went to reply now, back to normal red.

Edit: And back to green. No wait, red on edit. No, wait ....

I just opened one of these:
2005 Lexicon, Paso Robles 14.9% alc, 330 cases
43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Pinot Noir, 14% Syrah, 14% Sangiovese, 7% Lagrein

I don't think I've ever had a blend with Pinot Noir in it before, let alone Lagrein. It is great! Quite a bit of sediment in the bottle. Still seems pretty bright and acidic. Reminds me a little of a chianti to a certain degree. Went well with the ravioli I made tonight.

edit: I hope they're offered again. I remember the guy was pretty cantankerous on the forum, which actually made me buy it. hehe

So, my wife was pretty happy to get the berries. She even stopped and had to pick something up for me.

I had heard great things about Shari's Berries. I have not experienced great things from them. I ended up spending close to $50 for a dozen of them. To begin with, they ended up including the wrong card (was addressed to someone else). Lastly, the berries just weren't, well, that good. They looked pretty good, but they weren't like the picture. They were fully dipped, but the stems were still in place.

Anyway, not that impressed by the product. They were good, but not exceptional, which is what I would expect at $4 a berry. :sigh:

Surprised at the berry issue. Seems like someone here raved about them.

Had that just happen to me after replying to Doc O's post. Took me to the Woot community page. Usually just leaves me in the Pub, even if it says Woot! in the corner.

Gotta be a server issue. They may need to re-start several of them to resolve it.

I got HAK Shari's Berries sometime last year. He seemed to enjoy them. Of course, they then proceeded to "remind" me to buy him more at least once a day after that. 2-3 times a day around holidays. You might want to go unsubscribe from them. They're spammy.

Opened a 2007 Scott Harvey 1869 Zinfandel with the filets last night. Old world style Zin and very, very nice. After dinner, we opened a 2006 Jana Old Vine Zin, which is more new world style. Also a nice bottle. It went better on its own rather than with the steaks. I really appreciate the Old World/New World guide that Scott puts on his labels. We knew what to expect, and had them at the right time. And while these were well described in CT, it would otherwise be a shot in the dark.

Hope this great idea of Scott's catches on.

Oh I see what's causing the jump-to-green-woot thing. When you click on the "so-and-so wrote" to go back to the original post, they must've changed the code for it to hard-code in the full pathing of "http://www.woot.com" prior to the "/Forums..." instead of letting it be the relative pathing (starting with "/Forums" so it stays within the same forum.

Bad code monkeys. Bad. Stop messing with the forums in unhelpful ways.

Edit: Hm, maybe not - it's only SOME of them that it does that. Many are correct and start with wine.woot.com... hm. Weird.

IIRC, he's on the Riesling council, and I think they adopted it. Can hope it spreads to the others as well.

I know there is a TJ there.... I had hubby take a taxi one year to bring me some TJ stuff!! He said it was the most expensive chocolate he has ever gotten me!!! When we were there last month, we were actually looking at bus schedules to see how to get there...... we never made it... went to the ice bar instead!! ha ha ha.... I did tell hubby, seeing how we will prob. rent a car during bottling.... a trip to TJ is a must!!!

I gotta admit I find great irony in the cover to the new Wine Spectator..."Great Value" with Bordeaux 2nd labels $345/bottle of Latour, $400 for Lafite.
