Ok, I played with the idea of liquidating my wine collection a couple of months ago, but couldnt bring myself to do it. Now, Im moving and I have to lighten my load. I am in Houston and would prefer a local deal, but will ship if the buyer picks up the actual shipping costs. I have a lot of woot boxes and styrofoam packers, so it will be protected in shipping.

I still have a few boxes in the closet that I need to go through, but I think this covers all of the higher end stuff that Im willing to part with at this time. Let me know if you're interested.

We're probably too far apart to make anything happen. Good luck.

I'd be interested in 1 of the Robert Craigs - we could share in the shipping cost using wootleggers to move wine from you to me or vice versa. Unless you'll be back in the Phx area sometime?

FWIW: I bought the case of CC. Reputable seller. Paid him using PayPal. He shipped all as he said he would. All wines arrived in good condition. I assume all were stored with good provenance. I feel like I just gave an eBay review..??)

Curiously, Peter said last year that the 2006 Wellington Victory is the best he's made to date. I know both 2004 and 2005 (especially) are better regarded than 2006 as vintages generally, but 2006 could be very good, and sometimes a winemaker will 'beat the vintage' by making a much better wine that the vintage's reputation would suggest (e.g. Heitz in 1972, Inglenook(!?!) in 1977).

Yes, I remember that (what Peter said, not 1972 or 1977 ). I already had a bunch of the Victory 2006, so I thought I'd grab a few of the others.

Ok. I'm back to interested again, despite my better judgment. PM me a price on the three Victory bottles... They sold for $30 on woot so I could have bought them for about $90. If you make me an offer I can't refuse Godfather, I'll probably get myself into trouble.
