I revoke my post.

I really did not like my first bottle, and none of my 4 friends did either. I would agree with the previous reviewer who said it's astringent. It had a strong citrus flavor primarily of grapefruit followed by a medicinal aftertaste. Hopefully the next bottle is better; I usually like gewurztraminer

With my tasting group, we had this wine tonight during a Gewurztraminer tasting. It was clearly the roughest wine by far. It had a lot of issues, namely the aromatics of Diesel (non-mosel) and other flaws. It had a salty taste and limited palate. It also finished quite bitter. Unfortunately, i have 2 left. I know it was a deal, but this one will not be on my re-buy list.

Funny that I revisited this thread today and saw this. I am drinking it now. After opening it was less than pleasing. I poured the glass and drank it at 52 degrees. It was too cold to get any real flavors from. I got some spices, but very little and a lot of bitterness from. I decided to let it warm slightly. I got slightly more fruity flavors and some more spiciness, but still got the harsh bitterness on the tail end.

This struck me as odd as I LOVE Meekers other juice.

I definitely agree. The bitterness that you guys taste to me was the grapefruit flavor I tasted; it is not a pleasing flavor for wine. Cold or warm, the palate was also quite limited.
