I told him if he needed an example of how not to hit someone when you really really wanted to, just study me right now. I think he got the meaning. I was beyond pissed as we have talked ad nauseum about keeping your hands to yourself no matter what someone else says or does. Oh well, The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978) happens.

Whatever happened to letting kids be kids? Yes, I understand their is a problem with kids bulling, but come on people...we need to bring back common sense........ end of rant
Let kids be kids to some degree. Teach them to cope with bullying (for those who can) and accept the consequences. Of course. school districts are also afraid of lawsuits and weapons. Of course, nobody's child ever does anything wrong. . .

MINE DOES. He has a PhD in screwing up. That's autism for you, you just sigh, try to explain to the clueless why he's in trouble and why its his fault regardless cause he CHOSE to hit the kid. Realize it does zero good and just move on

My autistic student has changed drastically since the beginning of school. The honeymoon period is over! The great news (sarc font) is that the mom is saying that he is behaving this way because everybody is picking on him. Um, no. He's the one picking on others and making threatening comments. The father is a lawyer. I am soooo thrilled!

so there is this place here called Romeos Mexican food and pizza. It doesn't do either great, but it does both surprisingly well. Perfect for when you need greasy food though. Tasted great tonight!

sounds just like my kid. Its honestly no wonder he has no friends. He's kind of an chilling zephyr to everyone but its always everyone else's fault. In this particular incident though it was the other kid. I'm willing to bet in the past they've both been guilty of it though.

Dansko's can be so evil sometimes. I fell out of mine once. I'm surprised I didn't hurt myself, seeing as I am not once of those graceful like peoples. After I fell while wearing them I was done. Bad Danskos.

Doc O, glad you are feeling better.
Bhod, sorry about the past week, both the bug in your house and all that happened with K. Good job on self restraint with the other kid.
Sanity, props to naughtiness and being productive at work and at home. I remember arriving one year in Vegas and there being a lot of snow coming down. We were staying at the Westward Ho at the time, so that dates it. Actually it was back in the mid 90s come to think of it. Barely legal. Hardeehar har.
I am in week 3 of the respiratory plague that has hit our nursing staff. Finally just down to coughing jags every other day or so. So much better than week 1. Sad that I missed 3 days of work because of this beast. Damned viri. And of course Joel is still just fine.
Whee!

Uff da! Oh Sparky, how could I forget about you with all of your parental stuffs. Hopefully mom's hip will go great. And hope you get your dad thru the endoscopy deal. I was fortunate in that my mom LOVED the procedures where she got twilight meds.
True story: mom was in with one of here zillion same day things she had in her later years. I was waiting in her same day room for her to come back. All of a sudden I hear a mess of people laughing in the hallway. I go to peak at the commotion. It is my mom being wheeled back from the OR. She is singing "Side by side" and was at the "We ain't got a barrell of money" part of the song. When she saw me she said "I feel soooooo wonderful". She liked her concious sedation that one did.
Anyway, with all that is going on around here virus wise, I'm glad this is a cyber pub.
