I'll most likely be buying 18 when I get into the office later, so if anyone out here misses out (or only wants a few), I'll be willing to split. Cat will most likely be getting a few from my order, some I'll be selling to my mom since she needs some $10 wines to add to her cellar, and the rest....well, the rest will be mine....ALLLLLL MINE!!!

Why not just give your mom a few bottles? I guess that's what I would do.

That's what I do! Or why not gift her a 1/2 case?

I also don't understand the concept of hosting a wine tasting party of friends (or wooters) and then charging people to open your bottles. If you're concerned with recouping your investment, then stop buying so much wine! Before I left Chicago I opened a dozen bottles of my wine and was more than happy to share at no cost to anyone. It's money I already spent and I'm always more than happy to share with others who appreciate (and some who don't know the difference between good wine and Boone's Farm).

So anyone who wants to come to AZ and drink wine, it's on me

You're on! If I ever make it to AZ.

I think part of the enjoyment of owning a cellar is being able to share it with others.

You're on I think Jan/Feb is the best time to visit - get out of the snow of the NE.

And looks like today is the start of gift week -

From the woot newsletter I just received:
On, Blitzen! Wine.Woot Gift Week Takes Flight With Newest Woot Cellars Wine
It may only be the end of November, but holiday festivities are already in full roar over at Wine.Woot. Today marks the debut of Blitzen, a frisky California red and the newest wine bearing the Woot Cellars label. Then the fun continues with Wine.Woot gift week: two classy gift items per day, launching at midnight and noon Central time, every day through December 4. Forget the sugar-plums—Wine.Woot's got this.

I often do that too, but instead of her going to a store to buy the wine she needs for their own drinking (I open a bottle of my wine every time I'm there for dinner....about once every week or two), she is constantly asking me to build a case for her from my collection for her to buy. This benefits her in that she's getting better wines for less (via woot prices) and that I often don't even charge her the full amount that even I paid.
So I guess a different way of wording what I posted is that I'm "splitting" the order with my mom, just as if I were splitting with another wooter. Only difference being that the other wooter is my mom.
And yes, I'll be giving her some wine for Xmas too. So some of these bottles may end up as part of that gift.

Got it. You're the messenger boy. If my mom drank significant amounts of wine and asked me to buy for her, I may attempt to collect as well.

Discount Group tickets will be on sale next Monday, Nov. 28th on the PS I Love You site. I will post the link and more details then (both here and in a new D&D 2012 thread).

However, the group tickets (8 or more) will not get you in early (5pm), but at the regular start time of 6 PM.

It was actually nice getting in early last year.

Loweeel is now blocked from work from the forums. He says he is purchasing 8 tix and will have 4-6 available on a FCFS basis. HIS tickets allow early admission. Get in touch with him for access.

Eeek, this week's killing my credit card. Fraud prevention even woke me up this morning, and since then I've jumped on two or three more things including the KR. And I haven't even booked Vegas yet. Oi. I'll also split current if someone wants a bottle.

edit: okay, definitely 3 since I got the D&D tickets from L.

You know, sometimes it is nice when offers don't ship to CT. Saves my credit card and lack of cellar space. Keeps my wife from getting angry with me.

Of course, I bought several bottles from Generations of Sonoma based on a call from them. Offering several wines at 25% off, and free shipping on a case or more. Got my boss in on the deal, so it was easy to make a case.
