How noticeable is is the residual sugar? Doesn't seem like much @ 2.8g/l but just have to ask before I buy a case of this stuff.

Would it be considered wine homicide to use mulling spices with this?

Is Ty on the board? Just curious how he would compare the Racchus to the Blitzen.
Ty's 2009 Racchus:
California appellation
Varietal Composition: 44% Merlot, 31% Sangiovese, 14% Petite Sirah, 11% Zinfandel
14.1% Alc
vs.
Ty's 2009 Blitzen:
California appellation
Varietal Composition: 59% Merlot, 16% Sangiovese, 14% Petite Sirah, 7% Zinfandel, 4% Grenache
Alcohol 14.5%

I think the reindeer on the label makes it ok to use with mulling spices.

richardhod wrote:Indeed,. thank you for that chart. RS is confusing, as some talk about g/L as here, some g/100ml, oddly, and others as a % (by what, I'm not sure).
Indeed, chart is handy! That is one wine spec I have not tried/learned about in any technical capacity.
