Is that Calstar Pinot any good? Seems like it's been on Invino a LOT.

The photos were taken with the same background (cement floor) as all Last Bottle photos. And I've seen that little boy in a few Last Bottle pics as well.

Anyone know what the connection is? I'm too lazy to try and figure it out on my own... Bed time..

It's funny how I tell me self the same thing, but tell my friends never to use a credit card unless you can and will pay it off in full every month.

I'll hate myself when I pay it, but it will get paid in full.

I either need to find more friends that enjoy good wine, exchange my GF for one who drinks, hehehe, or learn to have a higher tolerance so I can polish off a bottle and not just a glass. Or I could stop buying more wine.... But we all know that ain't gonna happen ;)

My guess it is lastbottle's version on lot18, covering bases

I think I missed some nice Burgundy on Last Bottle today...each time one that looked interesting that was like a $100 retail for $40, it would sell out instantly!

I could swear I've seen the Anderson Valley Pinot there.

Is their Zin any good? They could use a redesign on the label. I know, I know, you can't drink the label, but still

Dunno, don't have any. My Invino archives are only from this year, and the Zin showed up on Feb 14.

A new GF isn't always a bad thing - LOL

But I don't think I could polish off a bottle a night....unless maybe it was an easy drinking white....just maybe.

Ohhh...nice...snagged a Pillar Rock Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District 1999!

I JUST missed the 1999

Problem with a new GF is the current one is new. We just started dating, but he doesn't drink alcohol at all, which would have been perfect 6 months ago before I starting drinking wine again after 10 years off..

So I guess the answer is to get more friends so they can help me drink all this wine ;)

The Buena Vista Ramal Pinot Noir is back on wineshopper at 14.99. Free shipping on any purchase in the next hour. Didn't want to buy 7 to get shipping last time, but will probably pick up a couple now.

I agree, I think it will pick back up. But I don't think the picture has anything to do with it. I'm sure they took all of the pictures well in advance of the start of the sale

So this is where you guys were hiding yesterday!

My damages at LB:
Calstar Vineyards 2006 Pinot Noir Londer Vineyard
Black Goose 2006 Old Vines Zinfandel Bartolomei Vineyards
Tallulah Syrah 2006 Bald Mountain Ranch
Domaine Weinbach 2006 Gewurztraminer Cuvee Laurence

I totally missed the German rieslings - that must have been when I was in a business meeting .

Some of the wines made two or three appearances, so I tried to do some research on the ones in my price range in case they came back.

OK - girding myself for another day of LB mania

Greg

My tally (so far) --

2 Faiveley 2006 Vosne-Romanee - $39
2 Kuleto Estate Cabernet 2005 Danielli - $39
1 Louis Jadot 2004 Echezeaux - $79
1 2005 Larkmead Cabernet - $79
1 Altamura Cabernet $49
3 2002 Phelan Cabernet $39
2 2005 Surh Luchtel Cabernet Sacrashe Vineyard $39

Wife was starting to complain last night, though -- we're out of space and she did not take kindly to the suggestion that we could store some of the boxes in the bedroom!

Furst 2007 just doesn't want to sell out. Anyone have any experience with this? Is it worth the $26/bot?

I just scored two to try. I figure this whole LB Moving Mania thing is an oppotunity to try a bunch of wines I would not buy in multiple bottle lots.

When I reda this was from Franken, I jumped on it - love that region's style. Small lots compared to Rheinhessen, Mosel, Pfalz...these are always terrior-styled wines

Well if any of you remember the Naked Winery that was featured here on wine.woot, they are on winestyr.com right now.

$70 for $120 worth of wine.

They have a wide assortment and their Penetration Cab was pretty tasty.

I escaped in good shape compared to some of you.

I only walked away with:

2 - 2006 Tallulah Syrah @ $15
1 - 2001 Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) Pauillac Réserve Spéciale (Half Bottle) @ $9
1 - 2003 Château Tirecul La Gravière Monbazillac @ $14

Now I just need to do some heavy drinking this weekend to make room for my Scott Harvey shipments coming in next week.

The Anjou was a total flyer, the Rose I had from the mixed case deal and thought it was terrific, but the 1995 Sangiovese will be a real crap shoot IMHO.

I've never had aged Sangiovese, let alone aged for almost 20 years.....it might be panther pee by now.

Agreed, but it was like $12 so it's worth a shot. I liked to Rose too, even though I don't normally like Rose, and was going to pick up two more bottles. I think the Anjou was cheap so it would have just been a cheap flyer.
