That means the database has reached it's limit for connections. They are just over whelmed now that everyone is getting home from work.

It's just a matter of timing.

They seemed to have increased the # of allowed connections. The Carter is still up...

BEWARE Wineshopper shipments: check them carefully. My Buena Vista case came in a bottle short. someone at the warehouse, perhaps. I always check my chipments, and noticed there were only 11 bottles, however hard I looked! Box was sealed, had to be at the other end!

I called them and - to their credit - after offering me a store credit, they agreed straightaway to a cc redund for the bottle concerned. But no "I'm sorry" or "How could that have happened?", which does concern me slightly.

Just bought a nice 03 cote rotie for $18 due to free shipping and a $25 credit (thank you someone here!)

My plan is when I run out of money, my new hobby will be drinking wine instead of buying it. I figure I've got enough stored up that I can last a few years at least.

my problem is my hobby is drinking and buying... as my hubby always tells everyone that I am addicted to buying wine!!

Luckily for me, I just got home and haven't been able to check Last bottle all day until now...

I have been intentionally ignoring last bottle since I'm trying not to buy after about 2 cases in the past week and a half. Looks like I've missed some really nice offers, though.

Looks like it's stuck on the 2006 Black Goose Zin because it's trying to charge shipping. Actually got this last time around and if you get a good bottle, it's great, but a lot of bottle variety (from corked, to just OK, to great....weird).

Did you notice if it tried to charge you for shipping?

I'm waffling...out of the four bottles I've tried, two were great, one was corked and one was just OK.

Hadn't noticed, but now that you mention it, and I look at my receipts, I've got ~$0.25 or so shipping on all of them.

Humm...

Ahhh, yes, insurance. Duh.

How long is this supposed to last?
Almost worse than a woot-off.

The ~$0.25 charge is for insurance, I think you can opt of of that, but if you get a corked bottle or such, I believe you're stuck with it.

interesting. Not in dumb period at the moment? also, Johnson thought 04 might not live up to potential, but he's not a CA specialist.
I've been holding my Atlas Peak Howell.Veeders until I thought they'd be safely reopened. likewise some Corison of that period.

Drank several 2004 Napa cabs last year and all were very yummy. YMMV. Had a Bennett Lane that was sublime.

WIKI

Johnson is known as one of the wine world's most vocal opponents to awarding numerical scores to wine.[3] In the autobiography A Life Uncorked, Johnson also expressed regret over the wine critic Robert Parker's influence on the world of wine, which has in his view moved winemaking in many regions towards a more uniform, bigger and richer style.[5] In 2005 Johnson stated, "Imperial hegemony lives in Washington and the dictator of taste in Baltimore"

I opted in for 2 of the 2006 and 2 of the 2004... If I'm spending money I don't have, why not spend a little more of what I don't have ;)
