Origin is listed as Australia yet this is a paso robles wine...did the vines originate in Australia?

Bah, this stuff is my kryptonite, and I'm betting this is the last time we'll see it. Pretty hard to argue with a $105 case, and I'm in for my third, to get me through the winter.

Got this previously twice before, no complaints. Can beat the $5 or $7 now shipping on a case to Florida. My main concern is that it ships out on a Monday.

How long, give or take a few days, does it take a wine.woot shipment to arrive? Regular woot stuff seems to be shipped at camel speed and I am thinking about sending a wine gift to a friend for a birthday a few weeks off.

Short version - the winemakers work for Calcareous Vineyards in Paso, and made this wine (and a Chardonnay) on a surfing trip to Australia.

The company is in California, the wine is from Australia.

It won't knock your socks off, but it's the best $9 bottle of wine you'll ever have.

You'd think they would at least cut the price by $5 when they subsequently put it up...

I bought some last time, and enjoyed it very much. Not the depth of a lot of offerings, but very quaffable. I'm in for another.

D'Arenberg Stump Jump 2008 GSM Red is pretty good for $9 -- even made WS Top 100 -- but getting harder to find now.

I really enjoyed this wine, it's a great QPR, and the mineral flavor is very unique (and enjoyable) at this price point.

I've been good all day, and haven't succumbed to any of the other offers--until now.

In for a case.

In for one.

I must say that I was severely disappointed with their chardonnay, but it might be because I really dislike chardonnay to begin with, magnified by the fact that I didn't like their screwcap (I tried to uncork it and ended up drinking bad wine with rubbery particles).

But with about $9/bottle, it can't be too bad of a table wine.

Better than this or better than the chardonnay? Because yeah, the chardonnay was a bit disappointing.

I'm purple! I guess that's related to the woot wine that I've been drinking. I've purchased the TLC cab/shiraz before and have enjoyed it as a nice glass of wine after work and/or casual dinner. Plus I like the label.

The last few bottles we opened were a heck of a lot better than we remembered the first few, months before.

Do you think there really is such a thing as travel shock?

Well, you ride cross-country in the back of a truck and tell me you don't feel a little discombobulated when you're done.

seriously, how much of this stuff was made and how much has been sold on w00t! it has to be some sort of record.
nevertheless, i do like this wine and have decided to go in for yet another half case.

I believe this brings us up to 1145 cases sold here, out of 2296 produced (so slightly less than half).

Crap. Looks like my order didn't go through, since I didn't get an email and it's not in my list. Not the worst thing in the world, I guess, since I still have ten bottles left and too much other wine anyway, but still rather annoying.

Hopefully it shows up again. Who knows how much of this stuff WD has in the warehouse.

anyone know when this is going to ship? is the woot warehouse slammed with all the woot-off activity? I'm surprised that a week has gone by without any notification of my wine on a truck.

Its been hot, really hot. Could be the shipments are delayed to prevent the wines from cooking. I have 4 or 5 wine orders from last week still without shipping info too.

I just got the ship notice on my wine this evening. I agree that it has been hot, but it sounds more like the warehouse was pretty backed up ~ as it is, my wine is going to get here on a 90+ degree day. In october!
