I'm on-line and officially coming out to play! My laptop crashed two times today and that's not counting the two times I almost crashed it on the floor myself. Couse now that I'm on, everyone else is going to split, right?

I'm still bummed that it looks like there's no way I'll be able to make it down for that tasting to meet you.

Guess I'll just have to settle for drinking a case of your wine.

What's up with Wooters and things that are flavored like bacon? I've never seen people buy so much bacon salt and now wine...

That said I'm in for 3. I bought 2 of the previous Madison offering in 2007 and was very impressed with the wine. Back then I only got 3 bottles of wine for $49.99 so this is a great deal. I remember really enjoying the Maximus last time, too bad that one isn't included again but I'm looking forward to trying the Serendipity.

I'm there all week! If that doesn't work we ALL know that you are due for a trip out to the West Coast! And as we have just proved, we can put a tasting together in a snap!

In for two! It's my first purchase of Madison wines. The comments have been so positive that I'd have sprung for three if I hadn't wine wooted just yesterday (limited budget & storage space).

Sweet! I just noticed your offering got me a couple more kewpie's myself. I finally broke 10 now.

As for you....well, try answering some questions or giving some details or stories about your wine....instead of just sitting there downing a bottle of it.

The mere fact that I have any proves that kewpie's are not worth chasing

Speaking of the 2006 wines, what is the new name for what was once-called Maximus?

Is it going to be "Maximum Madness"? And do I still get my reward for coming up with that? :-D

Folks, I need to scram for a while, got a dinner engagement. So I won't be back until around 9pm PST.

I would like to hear from the folks that are on the fence. Anyone need some input to make the plunge and come on over to our side???

I will leave it to Madwine to continue the dialogue in my absence. Ask her the really hard questions;-)

Chow baby.

Depends on where you are located.

WD is very careful about not shipping during heat/cold waves.

Right now, Summer Shipping (the $2 extra on the normal $5 shipping) is in effect. What that means for wooters in the Midwest, South, and East, is that your wine is in a refrigerated truck to Chicago and NY areas, and then it is turned over to UPS there.

Each is packed in styrofoam with what we call "ketchup packs". Basically they are ketchup sized packets of clear stuff that freezes to keep the wine cold. Usually about 2 to 3 are around each bottle to help keep them cold.

So you see the "Billing Info Received" message until UPS gets it.

Someone has to put WD's kids thru college, but why does it have to be me!

I'm still shipping to the office, so if nobody else can, then I'm happy to.

M&J, I only bought one, b/c I'm moving in 6 weeks and don't want to schlep it up with me. Do you have a "buy now, ship later" option? :-p

All true except for one thing. It seems the "ketchup" packs are only for the western wooters - those who are direct shipped and not reefer trucked. I'm in VA and I've *never* seen a ketchup pack.

Once the wine is in the UPS system, it's normally less than 3 days to your house. (I'm in central VA, and I tend to be a 2 to 3-day person once it is in UPS' hands.) Since it is with UPS so short, you may never get a UPS e-mail notice. But you *should* get the delivery notification phone call.

It can take up to 3 weeks to reach the more remote locations. But I've never had a heat damaged bottle. It's worth the wait.
