It's been so long since I've been in ATL that I can't remember anymore. I do more cross-country than N/S on the EC. But DFW's gates are so widely spaced that it routinely takes 4+ minutes to just walk from a gate to the next gate over. It has taken me 15+ minutes to haul ass to go from Gate 20 to Gate 25. And that's fast walking with a roller-bag, no stopping for the restroom or to get a drink. All within the same terminal. I make sure I have at least a 60 minute layover there, so I can actually use a restroom and get a drink. Maybe. Sometimes it's an either/or situation.

Cool new wine.woot newsletter. No wonder WD was asking how many gatherings there have been! And George has a picasa album of our stickers.

Excellent, even though my old car isn't up there. It also reminds me that I need to take a picture of my new car and post it.

OK, who is the Winery for Triacipedis? I keep thinking it's Roshambo, but they aren't showing a Reisling as a varietal. Unless they are using it for blending and not making a pure varietal of it. Am I way out there?

I seriously would have imposed if the timing weren't so atrocious, i.e. if I hadn't had to work 8 am Monday morning.

Me + drinking anything alcholic + driving = disaster, I'm sure. Besides, I wasn't in the best of moods when I took the wrong direction onto 470 (due to not paying close enough attention) and had to drive through the whole of Denver on I-25.

Edit: Oh, and I'm not much of a wino at 7:00 AM on a Saturday, when I was headed southerly through your area.

Anybody notice the ad at the bottom of the w.w. pages today for Sainsbury's? It's clear across the pond! I don't believe w.w. ships there. I have no idea if Sainsbury's ships here, but pricing with their currency is dastardly!

Did you see the quote from Anna Paquin?

marc malkin wrote:
Paquin, who won a Golden Globe for her work as Sookie, promises we'll be seeing even more this time around.

"I get more naked this season than I did last season," she says, adding later, "We have a really great crew and everyone's really respectful. It's not an issue for me."

But it does mean a lot more time at the gym.

"I work my ass off," Paquin says. "I'm very careful about what I eat, and I work out a lot. My costume entails bathing suits, short-shorts and nude scenes, come on! Well, the biggest name in Clarksburg looks to be Bogle. But Dancing Coyote isn't too far away, and I like their PS.

And Bogle has a Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay on their wine list, along with a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir.

As well as Petite Sirah, Phantom (has PS in it), and the best of SoCal #9: Petite Sirah Port (it went quick!!)

Granted. But Roshambo is in the RRV AVA, has the SB and Chard on their lists, and there was the "rock star" clue in WD's post.

EDIT: When we combine the above with this:

edthebedhead wrote:Did I read somewhere that the grapes came from different locations... ?

...then doesn't that also make the case for Roshambo? They could have purchased the riesling.

I think some Pinot Noir tastes like bacon. I wouldn't know about Syrah. It is probably, along with Riesling, one of the "popular" varietals I have had hardly any experience with.

Nah! L&L did Toothy and EHP. Plus, they aren't RRV AVA. I think they are SLO or Paso Robles.

I was just about to edit because I'm an rocket scientist.

And yeah, WD said the Riesling came from the RRV and the SB and Chard were from Monterrey?

Is this what you are talking about?

Actually, I believe it is Mouvedre that lends the bacon taste/smell, not Syrah.

But you may be thinking of the Grenache, Syrah, & Mouvedre (GSM) blends.
