Heard such high praise for this stuff but my nieces are all smack dab in their school fundraising mode...if I'm going to be buying toffee (or nuts or cookies or magazines or wrapping paper) sadly it will be small overpriced carp from them.

hmm, here's a question...if I buy this- will it last untill christmas? Or at least part of it? Figure I'd eat most of it, but maybe I could save the "Toffee Bits" as a gift...

Just a future FYI...the way this reads almost makes it appear that its 1 AND 1/2 lbs in each tin. No biggie. Maybe spell out the 1?

Hey Wooters! My dad said I could stay up past my bed time to blog. We are so excited to be the main deal this time! Actually today we celebrated our two year aniversary! That means two years ago we were creating our website and perfecting our first batch. When we started the company two years ago we would hand roast and grind our almonds, hand stir each 10 pound batch for an hour, and even hand break the toffee. The awesome thing now is that we're still doing that same thing but in a larger scale. We look forward to a fun week of Wooting. O and just kiding about the bedtime. *giggles*

Also seems like this price is a good deal -- you'd pay $45 + higher-shipping direct if I read things correctly.

The Brandini team is just as relentless as sake guy charming the credit cards out of your wallet.

And the toffee bits would be good on almost any kind of ice cream.

Googled their recipe last time they were on here and they had it out there. Made it myself, and it was really good......and easy to make. Sugar and butter, that's it for the toffee, then whatever you put on top. Not to put down their business, but wonder what kind of margins they make on sugar and butter?

EDIT: Reread my post and thought I sounded like a jerk. I cook a LOT so it was fairly easy. It was delicious even when I made it, so it would probably be even better bought by them since they have it perfected.

For $35, there better be crack in this stuff.

Yes great question: Our product will last 6 weeks in the refrigerater or freeze for 6 months. The best thing is is that it will taste just as good (or better) by Christmas time!

I think the product is great, but the last time mine got shipped all the chocolate had broken off from the toffee during transport; they apparently hadn't melded together, which was slightly disappointing. Has anyone else had that happen when they got theirs? I'm considering getting some more, but want to make sure it isn't a common thing.

1/2 lb bites = ~$12
1/2 lb toppers = ~$10
1 lb. box = ~$23
Not including shipping (which is probably not going to be $5)--and they don't ship smartpost.

So, technically, you will be tightening your wallet while loosening your belt! A must to buy in our current economic climate. It's good to see people doing their part.

P.S. Congrats to your company in branching out to private labels and wholesale offerings. Good luck with continuing your success. Hopefully we will be seeing your company again soon.
