Hey L, hang in there. There's more where she came from. And you're young so you have plenty of time.
And mmmm port and cigar. I used to do cognac and cigar but port is so much smoother and not as hot.

First off: Show off, I can't type that well sober, and we all know what happens when I drunk type.

Second: No person, be it man or woman is going to live up to your "ideal" Not even I'm perfect. I'm not good with relationships though so don't listen to me. But basically you should try to find someone you don't want to hurt badly. This took me MANY years and many girlfriends to find. And for the record, I never did hurt anyone badly. Unless psychological scars count, I've probably scarred everyone that's come in contact with me psychologically.

Third: What bottle and a half of wine did you drink?

Fourth: Thank you for joining the crusade against Manos, the Hands of Fate. I frakking hate Manos, the Hands of Fate

Fifth: You know you're gonna be happier cause you never once mentioned she enjoyed PS. And we both know you can't go through life without a woman who digs the PS.

Virtual, big sister-type hugs to you, L! Quite a few of us here can attest that it is better to find these things out before you walk down the aisle instead of after! (Nothing worse that getting on the plane foryour honeymoon and your overriding thought is "what have I done???")

Doesn't make you feel better in the short term, tho'. So, indulge for now, but not for long. Spend some time relearning who you are - just as you & not as part of a couple. It will soothe the heart-hurt short term and make you a more desireable catch in the long term.

Agreed! We'll even commiserate with you about how nasty women are. This is why I could never be not straight. Women make terrible partners They're just too demanding and evil, and I can't have someone turning my own tricks against me

My step father in law (ok, I guess I can say father in law) is an Episcopalian Minister here in Culpeper. Cool that your mom opted out of nursing when she realized it was time.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, I am a bit tipsy. We had dinner at It's About Thyme, here in Culpeper. Too much wine. Albarino and then Cabernet.

While we were shopping this afternoon, we found a bright spot. Frenchman's Corner had a spot last time that was coffee and Belgian Chocolate. Not bad in and of itself, but now there is an adjacent space that has wine, beer and some cheese. Joel was impressed with the beer collection. The wine collection, tho small was varied (I spied Amarone) and some good looking Rose. The wine/beer dude was a joy to talk to, and of course I had to share the wine.woot love. Of course we had to purchase!

How interesting ... your F-i-L is a minister in VA, near me; and my mother is a minister in Joliet, out your way. Strange how things work like that sometimes .

As for drinking, last night I had another glass of the Stained Tooth, but it was about the same as the night before. On the plus side, it held up well for the second day -- wouldn't even have guessed it was a day 2. But there was no better flavor than the night before. Being that I didn't pour until nearly 9:00, and was not all that excited about the wine, I had no more than one glass. So now I have a last glass in the bottle to finish. But tonight is poker night, and this month's game is a far-game (30 minute drive) so I won't likely be finishing that bottle tonight. Oh well. Maybe the TC Field Blend will get a few more days to settle before I pop one after all.

Try this: 4x the speed, for less than a 2x the price. Better?
