I am a sucker for Italian vino. I will have to sleep on this.

I don't see Maryland on the list of states that can be delivered to. Very unhappy. Anyone else find this in your local liquor or grociery store?

I recommend you drive down to Tyson's and check the local Wine and More.

This sounds so delicious but I am glad for once Virginia is not on the list-I would be in in a minute and I really can't right now. I have to say though I did look for Mill as first sucker=what's up??

Hesitating on the deal part though -
2007 $30.59 with free shipping (verified at online checkout)
2008 $45.99 unsure on shipping (couldn't verify - price as quoted through WS)

so 10ish percent discount, maybe a tad more if the shipping on the 2008 is substantially more than $5).

I love this type of wine! I was in for 3 but found Tennessee off the list.
It would be nice if Tennessee was on the list for more of the Italian wines.

We have a wedding coming up and I could use a couple of cases of the Prosecco that was offered a few months ago.

Cinderella Wine had the 2007 Roncaglie for $30, FS on three. I have two in my cellar, but haven't opened one yet. I'm passing since I have some, but nice grab WD. If you haven't had Nebbiolo, I suggest you buy this and look out for some Barolo, as well.

Heh baby killer yup that's me. Decanted two hours, floral aromas filled the room, elegant, tart black cherries and a boat load of minerals, plenty of acid made for a long finish. It was so good I went back and bought three more! I won't open anymore for 3 to 5 years. And make sure you grill some red beef nice food wine

How good is it compared with the best of this kind of wine you've had? What should we be looking for, and how much might you normally pay for this quality?

Richard, I think you would very much enjoy Barolo/Barbaresco. Floral, mineral, tar, medium bodied, not at all fruit-only wines. I am beginning to quite like Nebbiolo. As far as price, this is not cheap by any means (WL probably beats this price right now), but outside of deal-type situations, this is probably spot on at market value.

I agree completely with Kyle, these wines are a great representation of Nebbiolo and can be expensive. This wine at this price IMHO is a fine buy.

05 Cigliuti Barbaresco Serraboella" was the best Barbaresco I have tried although far more expensive, this wine at 30 is not that far behind.

If I hadn't blown this months budget by a mile I would be all over this deal.

I am no expert but I do love these wines.

At $37.50/bottle, it's a fair price for Barbaresco or Barolo. If this is among the moderate to high level bottlings in the region then it's a downright steal. I am going to have to sit on the sidelines, though, until my move to SoCal is complete at the end of the month.
