There was a comment somewhere in the past week or so regarding a moscato at TJ's, I think.
Can't find the reference now. Anyone recall what it was?

I could likely scare up an extra too, as we fill cases for each other...

Its in the pub. So far, nobody's stepped forward and said whether it was any good or not.

I started out on Burgundy but soon hit the harder stuff. Bob Dylan, Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues

How on earth did I get 7 QPs?

Uhoh, LastBottle is doing another blowout tomorrow. From their email:

That feeling in the air? That electricity? It’s building. Marathon Madness. Tomorrow morning begins a huge sale with free shipping on all orders. This will be the likes of our Black Friday sale or the Festivus Miracle but BETTER. MUCH BETTER, with more amazing wines (in tiny quantities) than you can imagine. We’re making room for our big move to bigger digs. Stay tuned for an email in the morning announcing its arrival.

I just polished off a bottle of the 2005 Syrah and it was very good. I didn't take any formal notes on that, but I don't think you would be disappointed. The merlot I had was a 2007 and it was good as well, but not as good as the Syrah.

dammit! I get in trouble with these Last Bottle days.
With a bunch of champagne arriving today, and spring shipments set to go out soon, this will be bad news.

I have two accounts- this 'anonymous' username for commenting, as well as a 'purchasing' account which is my real name. Apologies for the white box on the left.

Also, in the interest of full disclosure- I'm ITB, selling wine for a living. None of my wines have ever been featured on Woot though, so don't fear the shilling.

Brilliant, RJ. That's just what woot forums are for! Look at my CT and see if there's anything else you want to swap, or grab

not sure I'll be going into the middle states though, McMalbec!

Why did you have to remind me about spring shipments!?! Never seen one of these last bottle days. Is it like a woot off where you have to obsessively click refresh?

All, the semi-annual Diageo friends and family sale began today. I have a buddy who works for Diageo and he is always happy to have me extend the offer to whoever. There is a lot of junk on there, but also some gems. For instance they have a case of 2009 Chalone Estate Chardonnay for 140 bucks, shipping included. That stuff is nearly impossible to find under 20 bucks, particularly on East Coast, let alone under 13. If you are interested in getting log-in information, direct message me your address and I will add you to the distribution. Sale lasts through April. Some of their other labels that you all would be familiar with are Provenance, Acacia, BV, Sterling, Orogeny and Rosenblum.

Too bad the 2006 syrah is gone at $10. It was the best of all we had from the previous offering.

I dont care for this kind of deal because they give you what they need to get rid of.

I hear that, I was just wondering how much of it folks had tried. Sounds like the syrah is a winner, but the petite verdot/cab sounds interesting too. I bought some zin port from lastbottlewines that was pretty decent as well.

2010 Ty Caton Caton Vineyard Cabernet up on WTSO for 19.99 and free shipping on 4. That seems like an excellent price for this if you are into his wines.

I know it's 2012, but I just can't embrace the idea of drinking a 2010 CS. Maybe this will show up on WW and we can ask Ty about the drinking/cellaring of this.

I think I tried this in the tasting room last month (if not it was the 09). Hard to explain how disappointed I was with pretty much the entire lineup. I like the Ty's red and his petite sirah I got off woot, but his newer stuff was a letdown.

Also thanks, as I too am fence sitting. I wouldn't mind some additional Ty, and had some late in the tasting day in Del Mar so pretty sketchy notes at best. Ahh found 'em; they were pouring 08 Tanium and 08 Red, not this; but Ty at $20 is tempting.

Are you all following the last bottle sell going on? The first bottle of 2009 Arnoux-Lachaux Nuits Saint Georges Clos des Corvees Pagets is up.

Is this lastbottles first attempt at a woot off style event?

EDIT: just got a blank screen instead of an error. We may be getting closer.

EDIT2: Now that I can get to the blank page and try to sign in, it won't recognize my account.
