After thinking about it all weekend, the arrow just couldn't resist hitting that Gold Button. I'm in for two. Yay to W.W for featuring a Washington winery. WA wines are some of the best!! I live just down the road from Gilbert in Richland, and sadly have not been there yet. Can't wait for my shipment and discovering another fabulous wine from this great state.

Hmmm... I've got nothing. I think I need to be drinking to be good at this game.

Ok, even though I haven't opened my wine yet, I'm going to have to agree that Schug is a great guess. If not Schug, my second guess would be a V. Sattui Riesling pack.

I waited all weekend to see if this would sell out. Told myself that if it hadn't sold out by Sunday I would buy one (since I had just wooted a case in the last 2 weeks). As fate would have it, it was still available! Could only woot one, but am super excited to get some good WA wine.

Thanks woot. The new year's wine has been awesome!

Well, I tried, I really tried, but resistance was futile in the face of all of the winery participation, 7 pages of comments and not wanting to be the only one left out if this turns out to be as good as it might be...so...just in the nick of time:

Usually, yes. Occasionally, though, the orders show up at my place in NorCal before I get the email. Sometimes even by a day or two.

Also with the woot-off, could take longer than normal.

Hope they do come in this week for California. Wanted to have one of these bottles ready for Valentines.

Tracking by reference and I get results too. However, they don't actually send you the email until it goes out (methinks they are just sitting waiting right now).

In general they don't want stuff sitting in a warehouse over the weekend, which is why they usually ship on Mondays.

Cali orders might still be out this week, I'm thinking the rest of us will get our order some time next week.

Got my tracking number this evening. Looks like they must have shipped out today/yesterday coming from windsor, CA. Us lucky people in CA will probably get them before the weekend.

Got my fedex tracking number and estimated delivery date is Feb 14th to Minnesota.

I tell you what...let me know if you don't have the wine by Friday February 11th and we will make sure you have something!

robbie@gilbertcellars.com

Estimated delivery is the 15th for me. I guess I need to follow-up if I don't want to look like a chumpette on the 14th.

Update:

Followed up yesterday near end-of-day and got this response this afternoon:

"Hi Ashley,

I am SO sorry to hear that the wine will not make it in time…we truly did everything we could to get the wine delivered by Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately there is not much I can do at this point in time, but let me know if you are interested in getting our wine in the future and I will give you a special discount for your troubles.

Maybe you could extend Valentine’s Day and have two amazing nights?

Thanks Ashley!"

So I'm just empty-handed I guess.

We're both graduate students in neighboring states (which also means that a second gift isn't in the budget) and even if we could take two nights in a row off from studying, I have to make the drive back to my university Tuesday (15th) night or Wednesday morning.

I guess we can have wine with dinner on the 15th, but that's really not all that I was hoping for.

Honestly, I was really excited about this, now I'm just really sad/disappointed.

Its unfortunate that it went out so late. I thankfully will be able to pick up my case tonight in preparation for dinner with my lady tomorrow.

Too bad you pretty much can't ship liquor across state lines by individuals otherwise I might have mistakenly dropped a bottle off at fedex overnighted your direction.

If you are anywhere near San Diego - pm me,and I can share some of my order --

I ordered this on Jan 30. Shows information sent to FedEx on Feb 8 but it was never shipped. Over 2 weeks and nothing. How do I get my $ back?

Yea mine seems to be stuck in "info sent to FEDEX" so much for the promise of wine by Valentine's Day. Oh well, I probably would not have opened it tonight anyway.

My first as well, and I'm definitely rather disappointed. Mine is also stuck at the shipment information sent. I don't know if I'll dispute the charge quite yet, but I'm definitely a bit upset.

A big thanks goes to you for the offer, and user="deadlyapp" for the sentiment. Alas, I'm pining for wine in North Carolina. >_<

The kindness and sympathy of each of you is truly wonderful though!

Expected arrival date has been updated to February 17th, which is even dandier since there will be noone home to receive it on that date, and possibly the following day. At least
the weather here right now is cold/cool so I don't think I should panic *too* much about the wine sitting somewhere at FedEx all weekend.

Too bad that Robbie's "we'll make sure you have something!" was all talk. Well, he offered me a discount of an undisclosed amount on future orders. I'm not really convinced that's what I was supposed to have inferred from his original promise, though.

To those already jumping into card chargebacks, I would tell you to reconsider and wait at least a few more days. Chargebacks hurt woot immensely, maybe call and talk to them or the cellar shipping it to see whats going on.

I doubt it hurts woot....if it does so what. I emailed woot, they said wait a few more days. I don't think so. It would be different if the shipment had not been initiated. Basically someone printed a shipping label a week ago and whatever that label is for is still sitting in non- FedEx hands. If I did that on something I sold on eBay and sent the buyer a tracking #. I would have negative feedback for sure.

This is unacceptable and I disputed the charge. It was supposed to be here today and hasn't budged.
