Date: November 6
Time: 6 pm
Location: S&D Oyster Company
2701 McKinney Ave.
Dallas, TX 75204

This place has great seafood and the best BBQ shrimp outside of New Orleans. They also have hamburgers for those of you non-seafood eaters. I set the time at 6 because they do not take reservations and earlier probably means less of a wait.

*FYI - They do not accept AMEX or Discover - Only Visa, Mastercard and cash.

Please RSVP by November 5, and I will arrive a little early on Saturday to get us in line for tables.

Mark me as a tentative. I don't think I have a deployment that weekend so I should be okay. The better half loves oysters so I am working on her.

PS isn't that a NASCAR weekend? If so, maybe the San Angelo contingent can make it

Add one more for me. Heather will be joining us since her husband is unavailable that evening.

Great! I hope both of you can make it. I will go ahead and add you to the list for now. I will try and get a message to the San Angelo guys to see if they will be up that weekend.

I'm not so sure about excellent but we can probably manage pretty good.

Cue broken record - Blinks won't be able to make it. Next time for sure.

Must be mourning the Rangers collapse.

Not likely - based on a few decades of experience the Rangers fans could be only slightly happier (I seem to recall they did manage an American League pennant - admittedly against an obscure opponent).

Now, if I gave a flying flip about the Cowgirls, that might be cause for mourning.

Since we don't seem to have a critical mass for this dinner, and I am a single, I am going to withdraw from the dinner. It's a shame since the menu looked pretty good.
