In for 1 so I didn't go in for more. We're on a pricey streak, after the pedroncelli, etc.

And it has been about 5 months or so since my last labrattage

I was going to be and saw the price and decided to take the time to read before I bought to figure out how many I should go in for.

I think the descriptions are a little messed up - since they are identical for both wines

Exactly HOW are we supposed to say, "No," to this?

In for 2.

Edit: One more w.w order and I'll have earned black on two sites. Nothin' like buying your way to glory.

I think the text is wrong on the main page it says 2002 wellington victory. Whomever made it just copied the 2002 syrah text into the 2004 victory.

Victory is Cab sauv, cab franc, merlot.

anything by Wellington is of great interest!

(were the square-bulleted descriptive items of the two wines repeated in error? details are the same)

Just returned from Pittsburgh in time to woot this!

The wine seems to be very closed-in and seems to have entered a dumb stage. Sort of a Marcel Meursault.

Same here, really liked all of the prior Wellingtons. Now I can feel free to drink some of those I have left. May have to gift 3 later in the week if still around.

The description says: "Wellington Vineyards 2004 Victory Reserve"
and lists a composition as: 98% Syrah, 2% Cabernet sauvignon

The picture shows: Wellington Vineyards 2004 Victory Reserve

So, which is it?

Been there, sucked that, got the bad taste in my mouth to prove it. -- Woot

Yes! In for 3!

And here's to hoping I'm a labrat!

Even if I'm not, though, I have a bottle of the 2004 Victory from the Wellington wine club shipments that I haven't opened yet. Maybe I'll pop it open tonight and add some comments.

Now, to bed, dreaming happily of wine...

I hopped on this right quick. Anything for SB ;).

Plus his Zin was pretty good, and I do want to try the others from the wootoff 4 pack I got.

WD: send labrat to my wootlegger, I'll make the drive to NYC to pick it up that night. Just send a PM (he's really bad with letting me know I've got new boxes ;).)

It'll be nice to have some nicer/more $$$ bottles in my cellar, but unfortunately I could only go in for 1. The fine balance between...too tired to finish the sentence.

That's not right, is it? It's supposed to have CF and PV in it, right?

Wellington - no brainer.

In for one cause I'm just a poor studen, but really wish I went in for more.

I hope I get some labrattage for this one as I've ordered every Wellington offered here and think its one of the vineyards I am more knowledgable about.

Look forward to PW coming in here and possibly giving more info.

I'll pose the first question for him, the one we know is coming (in fact it needs to be added to the product faqs that get posted with the woot): What's the cellaring like for this wine?

    My last 5 woots:
  • Robert Craig Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon x2
  • Woot Cellars Boss Monster Zinfandel Six - Pack
  • Armida Winery Poizin Trio
  • Olivestri Siloro olio nuovo
  • Wellington Vineyard Designate Cabernet Trio

Peter likes the taste of aged wine, especially cabs, more than most people

Ooh yeah. That's a tasty one. I had some of that back in October and have been meaning to get some more. Trying to keep my budget *somewhat* in check, though.

AHHHHHHH!!! A Wellington.

Just after I purchsed the Pinot.

Oh well, I have yet to be disappointed by a Wellington.
