I would buy that just for the bottle (well, OK, some good juice inside it would be nice too!). Bringing out a bottle of Katie Kaboomslap at a party would be the best.

So I'm taking my mother for a long overdue dose of aloha in May. Any Big Island recommendations? I've got Oahu covered (been there a few times), but I need big island recommendations for hotel and if I should fly into Hilo or Kona (from Hono).

Been way too long since I've been on the big island.

But I seem to remember the different "sand" beaches on the Kona side (Green, Black, etc.). I don't remember much on the Hilo side that we did.


Edit: I guess the black sand beaches were more south of Hilo & Kona than I remember.

Also, you get more rain on the Hilo side than the Kona side.

I have one - it's the cheapest model. I assume the higher end models are nicer, but I really like mine. You can do lots of different exercises, including compound exercises and you can incorporate stretching. It uses your body weight, so it's not fantastic for legs imo, but great for upper body. Disclaimer: if you're very strong or you're into bodybuilding, your own body weight might not be enough to get you a good workout...but most of us ladies don't have that problem. I also like it because it's smooth, no jerky wrenching movements.

Thanks... I get bored easily with exercising... so I tend to jump from thing to thing... that way I always have something I can do... right now my weighted hula hoop is my favorite... 20 min of hooping and I don't feel like a bum for not exercising...

our weather is crazy.. It has been in the mid to upper 80's this week!!! Sunday our high is supposed to be 65 if we are lucky ,,,, and rain! perfect day to stay in and watch movieS!!

My face is numb from all the beer we drank tonight for hurling practice*. I also opened up an Italian IGT for the pizza we had. Pretty good, but it needs more time in the bottle...wont' keep notes on this one. The Duchesse sour beer is excellent, btw. Damn, does it go down well...




*hurling practice=book club for guys...book club just isn't manly enough for a guys' book club. And, we read "Better" by Atul Gawande. Great book that's provided me inspiration to do more with my career.
