MSH Cellars Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay - 6 Pack

The Drinkable Duo! The Potable Pair!

Getting to the bottom of this case is going to be delicious

He’s Sauvignon Blanc, a tough-talking, no-nonsense, crisp, dry type of fellow with a firm line of acidity, softened by a rich mouthfeel. His roots are in California’s Napa Valley.

“You’re from Napa?” the teen delinquent asks. “But I thought that was a car parts store.”

“That’s the trouble with young people today,” Sauvignon Blanc says, hoisting the punk by his black leather lapels. “No appreciation for the finer things.” Then he slugs the young thug right in the mouth, and a suite of tropical flavors—guava, mango and passion fruit—take the fight right out of him.

Chardonnay pipes up. “You’re as intense as your apple, pear, and lemon aromas, Sauvignon Blanc.”

“Yeah, but I’m complex, too,” Sauvignon Blanc shoots back.

Chardonnay rolls her eyes. She’s a beautiful, clean-complected, fresh young woman with a green apple citrus zing. She’s a California girl too, charming and charismatic, yet elegant and mature. Like your high school’s head cheerleader at the tenth reunion, after having finished a PhD in something practical.

The young punk groans, coming to. He can smell Chardonnay leaning over him. Apricots. White floral honey. And… something else.

“Mmm,” he says, still a little dazed but recognizing it now. “Nice honeydew melons, babe.”

“Hit him again, Sauvignon,” Chardonnay says.

“With pleasure,” Sauvignon Blanc replies.

He’s Sauvignon Blanc. She’s Chardonnay. Together, they’re Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.

They fight crime.

2009 Sauvignon Blanc:

  •  Composition:  96% Sauvignon Blanc, 4% Semillon
  • Appellation:  Yountville, Napa Valley
  • Fermentation:  100% stainless steel tank fermentation
  • Alcohol:  13.8%
  • TA:  0.75g/100ml
  • pH:  3.29
  • Cases Produced:  1200 cases

Intense apple, pear, lemon and passion fruit aromas.  Typical of good Sauvignon Blanc this wine has a firm line of acidity, softened by a rich mouthfeel.  Tropical flavors of guava, mango and passion fruit compliment the citrus flavors of lemon and mandarin.  Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures to preserve the intense aromatics.  Native yeasts increase mouthfeel and complexity.

2009 Chardonnay:

  • Composition:  100% Chardonnay
  • Appellation:  Rutherford, Napa Valley
  • Fermentation:  100% stainless steel tank fermentation
  • Alcohol:  13.9%
  • TA:  0.67g/100ml
  • pH:  3.47
  • Cases Produced:  3000 cases

Clean fresh aromas of honeydew melon, apricots, white floral honey and a hint of spice.  The green apple citrus zing is balanced by the rich creamy texture of this wine along with the delicious ripe fig, white peach, honeysuckle and apricot flavors.  An all stainless steel tank fermentation allows the fruit to shine and partial malolactic fermentation softens the palate and adds a layer of richness.
