this might be a hot take, but "z" is probably the coolest letter. it gave us zippers, zoo, zucchini and zephyr. it puts the zzazz in pizzazz and the izzy in dizzy. if zinfandel were called, say, brinfandel or finfandel, would we still clamber for it? probably, because it is still tasty wine. but it wouldn't be as useful in scrabble, so. there you go.
